The much-touted two-day 19th edition of the Koroga Festival came and we were there at The Carnivore Grounds.

New Media Conference

The conference included a master class session on “What is Digital Marketing for your business?” with Tilo Ponder, CEO and Co-Founder of What’s Good Networks as the session’s facilitator. Tilo is a Content Strategist and Media Specialist heading up all What’s Good Studios business units which have grown into full-fledged digital content studio.

Madaraka The Documentary Launch

The documentary shot in Nairobi and Kisumu spotlights renowned Kenyan artistes: Sauti Sol, Owuor Arunga, Sosuun and Nazizi. Ghanaian artiste Blitz The Ambassador and the founder of Sarakasi Trust, Marion Van Dijck. All the personalities featured in the documentary encourage self-reliance through creative collaboration.

Sepetuka 7’s Festival

The home of champions, Eldoret hosted the inaugural Sepetuka 7s Festival, an event in the Kenya 7s circuit known for pulling crowds and creating an experience worth its hype. Homeboyz Radio which owns the Sepetuka Franchise also launched HomeBoyz Radio officially to the North Rift.

Coke Studio Africa Viewing Party

To celebrate the new season, Coke organized a viewing party at the Kiza Lounge where attendees were treated to Coke refreshments as they watched the new season premiere. As you can imagine, Coke went all out to provide a great experience to everybody.

Our paths with Schwarz after Kilifi NYE reconnected. On his debut performance in Nairobi on Saturday night, The Alchemist Bar warmed up to the vibe he’s set across the globe with his melodies incorporating elements of House, Techno and Electronica, while improvising with his violin for an emotional imprint and looping it through fx chains creating a unique signature on the virtual world of sound.

Unplug & Play

Who knew Sunday afternoons in Nairobi were sent not nursing hangovers but stretching the brain over board games and house music funk? With DJs N Ruff (playing for the first time at Alchemist Bar), N. Kai, Leux and Drumabeat on the djembe, the seventh edition of Unplug & Play was fun galore.
